Greetings earthlings,
You have landed on a small pod containing musical gems from the past 25 years,
This has been created to remember the times spent Dj'ing everywhere, from the early days of community centres,Social halls,Local clubs,Pubs,Bars, Etc. And also for the many years spent at Ollies in Ascot, from the various parties, to supporting live acts, e.g. Nik Kershaw, Howard Jones, Light of the world, The crusaders, The average white band, Shakatak, Roy Ayres,Alexander O'neal, Ruby Turner, Shola Ama, Edwin Starr to mention but a few.
And Not forgettin the dj's who made those memories Jc, H, Mitch, Ian Dee, Geoff, Robbie Vincent, Gary Dennis, & Greg Edwards. And for all those who came to listen to the music week in, week out.
Let the journey begin.....

The Skinny:
So after years of playing to all sorts of people and supporting live bands, i've hung up the headphones for a long siesta in the music archive world. My podcasting shows originally were to keep me in touch with some of the things i was never allowed to explore as a dj in a live set. I don't always stick to one genre of music, as i believe it is possible to combine all sorts. There is always a happy medium that people can follow which pleases most. Although i appreciate there are many who like house music etc only, there are possibilities to use this to create different sounds, which is not always exploited by todays dj's. For me it is also a reminder that using this idea is a lot easier to podcast than make up endless cd's which has considerable cost. It's also easier to pick and choose what you want to listen to. It's important to remember that there is no profit to be gained from this, just a few die hard regular listeners who like to hear something a little different than what the local radio station pumps out every day.
Although i'm just kicking off on this site, i don't have much time to build up all the blanks that are on here. You can find some details about me from this link. http://inthemix.mypodcast.com.html
I will update where i can as we go, thanks for listening and if you have any ideas for future episodes, do let me know.
